We can take WORK on the road! If your organization or workplace is interested in a training, let us know!

On May Day, 2015, we released our Know Your Rights manual called WORK: A Guide For Workers’ Justice in Maine. This manual was a collaborative effort with organizations across the state of Maine. WORK is a resource to help workers better understand what their employment rights are, and what the possibilities are for organizing around those rights. It can be difficult to know whether something that happens at work is actually illegal. WORK is a user-friendly road map to practical information about the law.

Because we believe that organizing is the most effective way to build power and achieve positive change, the manual also includes examples of how organizing has furthered workers’ rights in the past, and how it can do so now.

In addition, the manual will help communities of workers learn about each other’s experiences, struggles, and victories.
